About Profhilo Injections
Profhilo injections are made up of 100% Hyaluronic Acid (HA). This hyaluronic acid is formulated in a way that allows it to spread evenly throughout the treatment area, providing a natural and gradual improvement in skin texture, hydration, and firmness.
The HA solution is injected into several points on the face, neck, and other areas of the body. This stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, both of which are essential for healthy, youthful-looking skin. The unique aspect of Profhilo is that it is not a dermal filler treatment, but rather akin to a skin booster. It helps to improve the overall health and vitality of the skin, resulting in a more youthful and refreshed appearance.
Profhilo is one of the best 'skin remodeling' treatments. A bio-remodeling treatment is designed to work with the body's natural processes, rather than against them. When Profhilo is injected into the skin, it acts as a "biostimulant," triggering the body's natural healing response.
Profhilo uses hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the body. This reduces the risk of allergic reactions or adverse side effects. Which makes Profhilo a safe and effective treatment option for most people with minimal downtime or recovery period.
Profhilo London
In the UK, there has been a significant increase in the popularity of Profhilo treatments in recent years. Injectable treatments like Profhilo saw a 6.7% rise in usage in the UK in 2019, according to a report by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). Additionally, non-surgical procedures, which include injectables like Profhilo, made up 79% of all cosmetic procedures in the UK that year, as per the same report.
Profhilo works for most skin types, including sensitive skin. And it can be used on the face, neck, hands, arms, and other areas of the body that may show signs of aging or dehydration. A quick search online will yield many results for clinics and providers offering the Profhilo treatment in London. This indicates its popularity among individuals seeking non-surgical cosmetic solutions.
But before undergoing a profhilo treatment, it's important to research potential providers and read reviews to ensure that you choose a reputable and qualified clinic.

Profhilo Procedure
At V&A Aesthetics, we discuss with our patients first to understand what are their particular expectations from Profhilo. We want to make sure they benefit from the right treatment to fulfill what they expect to see.
We also assess clinically the medical history of our new patients during the initial consultation. And present them with the entire procedure and the consent process for them to make an informed decision.
We continue with an examination of the area of treatment, checking for any visible blood vessels, moles or lesions that need to be avoided. Photographs are taken and added to the patient’s medical records before we start the treatment.
The treatment takes around 30 minutes depending on the number of areas treated.
The skin is cleaned with an anti-bacterial solution and once this step is finished and the patient is ready the treatment begins. The patient receives a total of 10 subcutaneous injections of Profhilo, 5 injections on each side of the face, each injection taking only seconds to administer.
This injection technique is called Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) and it maximises treatment comfort and results.
Once the injection is finished, Profhilo disperses quickly into the skin without any need for a massage.
It requires little to no recovery time. But we advise our patients not to touch the area or apply makeup for at least 12 hours. They are also recommended to avoid alcohol and intense exercise for 48 hours.
Each treatment consists of 2 x Profhilo injections administered 4 weeks apart.
Many patients see an improvement in their skin appearance within a week of their first session. Full results are typically seen only after the second session.
The results will last up to six months after the treatment and a repeat cycle is recommended once the initial cycle is over.
